D&AD
Sector: Bodies & Institutions
Since 1962, D&AD has been inspiring a community of creative thinkers by celebrating and stimulating the finest in design and advertising.
The D&AD Awards are recognised globally as the ultimate creative accolade, entered and judged by the best from around the world. But it's much more than just awards. Members join a vibrant global community, whilst creatives and clients are inspired by a world-class training programme.
As a non-profit advertising and design association, all D&AD's surpluses go straight into programmes such as New Blood and Shift, inspiring the next generation of creative talent and stimulating the creative industry to work towards a fairer more sustainable future.
The worlds of TDC and D&AD have long overlapped, not just because of a shared passion for serving and celebrating the creative sector. Several of TDC’s clients and friends have been - and/or are - D&AD chairmen, presidents, trustees, pencil winners, jury members and long-term associates of the institution. Sharing D&AD’s dedication to celebrating and nurturing creative excellence, TDC were appointed to oversee communications for the 2020 D&AD Festival, Awards and New Blood programmes.
Tasked with shifting the perception of D&AD as exclusive to the world of advertising, TDC launched a bespoke press office service which focuses on highlighting D&AD’s service to broader audiences and sectors. Part of this includes leveraging a diverse range of stakeholders, jury members and trustees through thought leadership and media commentary, helping to position D&AD as an influential barometer of creativity and innovation across all levels. We also leverage our relationships with national, international and business publications to give D&AD the opportunity to take their message to a wider readership.
Following disruptions to the Festival, Awards and New Blood programmes caused by the global outbreak of COVID-19, TDC continue to work closely with D&AD to ensure that the best creative work from the past year is still recognised and celebrated.
Nurturing the talent pipeline is very close to the heart of TDC, therefore continuing to leverage the educational influence of D&AD is our key priority as we enter a period of great uncertainty across the creative industries.
